Set up in BIALL is a self-supporting association which draws its income primarily from membership subscriptions. BF is the Danish Union of Librarians. BF acts both as a trade union, negotiating wage rates, employment and working conditions etc, as well as having a guild function. But we also cover the profession and are concerned with the training of librarians, taking interest in their development, procuring education and in-service training, unemployment and more. In summary, the major aims of the union are to strengthen future work in the professional field, to enforce educational work, and make a special effort to secure employment of librarians.
BF has around 4, members, working in the public libraries, research and special libraries and in the private sector. CILIP is the independent voice that represents and champions all information professionals. With our Royal Charter we help our members develop their skills, build successful careers and deliver high quality information and library services. Find out more about us and why you should become part of our community. This is facilitated by providing professional development training, networking opportunities for members, and representing their interests.
